Event Details

Description:     Celebrate the start of spring and Earth Day with family and friends while learning more about how to “live green” from a variety of museum exhibits, business vendors, and children’s activities.  It’s all about recycling, re-using, reducing and responsible living!  In addition, guests will enjoy Collin County’s most beautiful natural surroundings as they explore more than six miles of nature trails, a native plant garden, bird watch, and learn more about North Texas wildlife.

 

Dates:              Saturday, April 26, 2008, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. AND Sunday, April 27, 2008, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Location:         Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

                        1 Nature Place, McKinney, Texas  75069

Utilizing our indoor meeting space, parking lot, and outdoor meadow

 

Admission       The museum will collect special, reduced admission fees from guests ($5 for adults and

Fees:                seniors and children 12 and under are free.   Heard Museum members are FREE.)

 

Vendor Fees:  As a participant in last year’s event, we are offering you the opportunity to receive a discounted rate on this year’s fees.  If you sign up before Friday, January 11, 2008, non-profits will only pay $125 (outside location only); inside vendors pay only $175; and outside vendors pay only $225.

 

Attendance:     This year, because of the partnership with WFFA Channel 8 as their official “Family First” event, we anticipate a crowd of over 3,000.

 

Sponsorships:  We are currently offering a comprehensive sponsorship package for a Title Sponsor ($5,000); a Sample Bag Sponsor ($2,500) and six Category Sponsors ($1,500). If interested, contact Helaine Thompson at 214-256-4622 or hthompson@xelerate.net.
